Integration

  • Can somebody please spell out in easy steps what integration does and doesn't do. From the wiki I had understood that it reduces waiting times only for your own association and the time reduction was based on the least supplied good by your association. So, for example, the graphic showing how well supplied the iron industry was with coal and iron ore is completely misleading if the goods are not being supplied by the association you are hauling for.

  • A simple example of integration:

Required goods by city is leather. Direct transport means to hauling the leather from the facility in the city. When transporting with integration than the first hauling is the grain to cattle farm, hence transporting cattle to tannery, and from here go with the leather to the city. This increases the stock of cattle in tannery, and thereby decreases the leather during transport in the city.

Integration usually not used in competitions and in some cases on the Endgame. :)

  • Integration has nothing to do with anyone but yourself. If you integrate, you get more money and less waiting time. You can hover the waiting time "clock" to see how much it's reduced. You can hover the $/t to see the extra money.

However, integrating is beneficial for everyone around you as it fills the stock which reduces waiting time. It also makes your route take longer, decreasing the occupancy rate, reducing waiting time.
