LIST OF BUGS, sorry for uppercase

  • Over my time of playing this game I have noticed A LOT of bugs. That's alright, I've only hit my phone like a dozen time :D I will try to split them into categories.

    ANDROID MOBILE

    FUNCTIONALITY

    Quote

    1. Some goods, despite being opened in the city and the user has tracks to it, cannot be clicked when setting a train's schedule, the icon is simply not being displayed.

    2. After watching several station videos, setting a train schedule display 0s travel time and the Continue button does not work when clicked.

    3. In some rare cases setting the schedule won't work for several trains (hard to reproduce).

    4. In some rare cases the player made a sitter can read the private messages of player who's sitting for, however only what the player's sent messages and not the ones received back from the one's who's conversating with.

    5. The total travel time calculated by the system is not always accurate, often taking less for the train to complete the schedule. 6. If connected to a city from a server (ex: Oxbury), when switching to another server (with the user connected only to Hugston, for example) city forum pop-up messages are being displayed (from Oxbury). Issue also reproduces when the user sits an account and city forum pop-up messages are being displayed even though the sitter is not connecte to that city.

    MISCELLANEOUS

    1. Messages copied from an external source and pasted on the city forum spill out from the text body.

    2. The green exclamation icon displayed on the Gold button whenever a discount is available is triggered everytime the user signs in on the server (it's annoying, so let's call it quality of life; at least give it a different icon because it confuses the user into thinking the daily reward hasn't been collected).

    3. The competition results screen pop-up is often triggered, sometimes for several times, after the competition finished.

    4. After having the game opened for an extended period, maybe after watching some station videos, scrolling over some engines in the research panel will display a black pop-up screen (sometimes the issue goes even further and upon clicking an engine will show a black screen, forcing the user to refresh the page).

    5. In some rare occasions, after a player accepts the chair's invitation to join the association, he immediately leaves it, forcing him to wait 24 hours before trying again.

I didn't individually searched for the issues I've found, but I've made the list and you can search for the issues in return, so we may call it even :)

I can help you reproduce some of these issues as well as provide screenshots and/or videos if needed.

  • I think al your mentioned bugs are alrealy all listed. I don't see new and unknown bugs

Hmm, honestly I've posted again on this thread because, for example, this issue just happened to me (on Platform-X):

    5. The total travel time calculated by the system is not always accurate, often taking less for the train to complete the schedule.

I tried to look it up on the forum, didn't saw anything mentioned. After discussing/ranting in the association forum, someone from my team told me that this is a known bug and in order to circumvent it I should just boost my engine since then the total travel time is calculated accurately.

Pointless to say that the competition I was trying to win was one with a bonus engine as a reward, hence the frustration.

if it's on Platform X the bug is back

  • Our tech specialists do read the bug section every now and then, but this forum folder does not substitute game support in any way.

It is always best to contact game support when you find a bug. And for many good reasons, for example

    • Support has contacts, tools and practices that help the issues be handled faster
    • A report by one player can be compared against other reports from all domains
    • Support is dedicated in solving issues or transferring those to the right people
    • Account related issues are easier to solve as support sees more technical details

The forum crew does not have access to the same tools and information unfortunately. Some do, but not all - and oftentimes it is still best to report technical issues to game support.

Oh thats a pity actually.. right after the introduction of HTML5, using the forum to report bugs was actually a very nice way to do that. There was no middleman anymore and by interacting with the people that classified the bugs you could really make sure that they were being able to reproduce the error and clearify if needed.. this is something that I dont have when I use the supportbutton ingame.. very often its just: "we reported the error" and after that no feedback (somehow it seems important that all tickets get closed asap).. so often I'm not even sure if the bug is reported correctly, whether devs knew about it already and if they could reproduce the error.

By using so many middleman (for example I report often in Dutch support, so translation etc..) the risk of a bugreport being lost or wrongly communicated is quite large imho; thats a waste of the energy we, as players, put into the report.

I'd like to add that being able to interact as close as possible to devs makes it easier to trust that people are actually working on it.

Well, in anyway having a bugreport topic in the forum when we are supposed to use the supportbutton might have become irrelevant?
