Starting on 01/03/2021 there will be a community event on the Rail Nation Forums and Discord, to celebrate the return of Fast Forward.
The Fast Forward Festival will feature 6 prize bundles full of in-game goodies, hidden in a 12 x 12 grid.
From 01/03 till 05/03 you have one chance to pick a tile on the grid to guess where the suitcases are hidden. If you guess the correct tile, you win the prizes. Some bundles can be won multiple times by players. However, the tiles are won on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t miss out!
You can also select 3 extra tiles by playing in the Fast Forward scenario and submitting a full screen, screenshot, to confirm it.
The prize bundles and how many times they can be won are as follows:
- 1x Tycoon - 200 gold, 5 lotto tickets, 5 train coupons
- 2x Fortune - 50 gold, 3 days account plus
- 3x Train - 5 Rail coupons, 5 train coupons
- 4x Lotto - 5 lotto tickets
- 5x Building - 3 reduction prices of buildings
- 5x Mystery - randomly given item (5 lotto tickets, 3 days account plus, 50 gold.)
As an extra prize, the player who guesses the most correct prize tiles, will win the March Community Conductor title and have their name engraved on the Community Conductor Trophy. For more details on the Community Conductor Trophy, take a look at the forum post here:
If you want to take part in the Fast Forward Festival Community event, you can do so via the upcoming forum posts or Discord on the 01/03/2021.

I do not want to contradict.
But how many hours of watching an ad is unhealthy?
Is just watching an ad unhealthy or other activities too?
Is it healthy to play RN these hours without watching commercials?
Can we expect other limitations in the game due to concerns about our health?
For example, time limit online.
Thank you for your constructive feedback.
As you know, I'm new at RN, not only my name is nEwW.
I checked internally, and there are no plans at the moment to limit other game functions due to health risks.
Please try to look at the change as a whole, with the additional information provided in our statement included, not only information released in one of the early blogs.
Thank you for the report. We are working on resolving the situation asap.
Article "Video Watch Limit", first paragraph, let me citate:
"As we introduce the incredible Pollux, we need to make sure that we keep video watching fair for all, whilst discouraging unhealthy behaviour like watching several hundreds or even more than a thousand videos per day."
Thanks for the quote.
The original post talks about the unhealthy part of watching hours and hours of ads, not that anything above 56 is unhealthy.
As said in the official announcement, we are open to changes, which will be decided via the feedback we receive in March Global Survey.
I wanted to introduce myself shortly, although I have already posted several announcements on the forum and discord.
My name is Csaba, I'm 27 years old Slovak "hardcore" gamer as many would say. I currently live in Prague, Czech Republic, but I´m originally from southern Slovakia. As many might know, the population there is mixed a lot, therefore I have also ancestors from Hungary.
I play video games since my early childhood, and I must confess to you, I always loved all Tycoon, building, and strategy games, even though in the last years I have worked and played with the most popular game titles. I found out that Rail Nation brings back a lot of memories of the endless hours I spent in one TTD.
The selection for the position of Community Manager for the International and Czech servers made me happy, and
I´m looking forward to our joint journey on this moving train called Rail Nation.
We have recently read complaints that you did not receive the Origin Journey Prestige Party's award (8 days of PLUS account).
If you have reached 3,000 Prestige Points before the end of the first era, you certainly did! To collect this award, you need to go to "Tools" and then "Collect gold".
Shoud you still have issues, feel free to contact the support.

The Pollux Video Engine updates were only applied to RU and DE servers.
The update which was planned for the 17th of February has been postponed until further notice.
There is no new date appointed for the Pollux rollout. We will post an announcement about new dates once they are set.
If you have concerns about the video limit, please read our official statement on the topic and continue in fact-based, constructive conversation afterward.
Your Video Limit Concerns: Rail Nation Team Response
Ask the question now that you've change your Official Announcement to no longer include the mention that watching more than 56 videos a day is bad for people's health. And made sure it's still got the original date on the announcement.
So Answer 2 wins then.
Thank you for your answer. It seems to a rumor, which someone started, as you can´t point me to any direct link, and non of my colleague knows about a statement like that.
The only official RN statement is here: Your Video Limit Concerns: Rail Nation Team Response
Well, there are some explanations that answer questions, that were put, several times, since videos were introduced to the game. Which lets - though I appreciate those answers - a little bad guy in my ear ask: "Why are we allowed to know that now, why not already years ago?" One very interesting answer (never given before) is, that your ad partner values (and pays?) 100 customers watching 1 vid per day much more than 1 customer watching 100.
The other one ist idea of surveys. Especially when the number 56 is discussed. There is no need to test and try, if 56 is the best limit thinkable. That could have been surveyed long before you planned the upgrade. You tested it on PTR, where vids are not really needed, cause they get some gold to test ... so not only a small target audience, but also the wrong one. But to ask for a limit, there is no try needed, experienced players could have answered immediately - according to their objectives in the game - where their pain threshold is if a limit is discussed.
And as for a later survey ... there is a big group, who hate ads and their trackers and tracers (they would vote for: take them out of the game), there is another big group, that give their time and allow to be tracked to help their friends in the association to have more income (they would vote for a limit of 1000), there might be bots (their owner will vote for: unlimited) and there are groups that watch a vid now and then ... and don't care about a limit. And many more groups.
The groups of target audiences are so different, that a survey that wants a vote, aims on a majority ... the max count of votes will not give you an answer.
And another point: Waiting 4-8 weeks in the internet is a very long time. People often decided much quicker for a different game. In my perception there are two big unhappy groups right now: a) those who collect vids, because they want to increase the income of their friends, and b) those who watch vids, because of the bonusses and gimmicks they can get, no matter if they love them or if they cannot afford to invest much real money to play.
Waiting weeks, will not make all of those 2 groups to go away, but part of them ... and they will be lost, no matter what the survey will tell us.
Just some thoughts about the explanations ...
I guess, the central word is: "directly".
However, the community also is HERE, in the forum. You can talk (write) to us directly here, you just do that.
And you can get direct answers here.
I love Discord very much.
But if it comes to directly, there are some cons and pros.
- Yes, we can talk, by voice. Will it happen? Should it be scheduled when you are available for answers? Will there be times, when experts of your staff will be available for a voice discussion?
- Another aspect of "directly" ... imagine I want to bring a suggestion. Here in the forum I can search if there is a thread already about the idea. In Discord I have to scroll back hundreds of short posts, to find same or similar ideas ...
---> so this brings up the question: Will you CMs pick out suggestions, creative posts, questions, ideas, messages that are good enough to be repeated here in the forum, in a special unique thread, there they can be honored, discussed, worked on, where more creativity can be added and alternatives can be addressed ...
So, I like the idea to use Discord, but for the real meaning of "directly" Discord and forum should be a combination, which means: there is a new part of the CM job to bring Discord content into the forum, where it can be put in searchable threads and discussions.
Thank you for your really long reply.
I´m not able to go point by point with you.
The patch is not released to most of the servers (only RU and DE were patched ) and there is no new date appointed to the launch for the other servers.
Firstly, players should test the new feature before they make an opinion on it.
About discord just in short point.
Forum is good for threads like suggestions as you mentioned, and we never said we will cancel the forum.
We added a discord to add extra features that the forum cannot provide.
Keep the constructive feedback coming. It is vital for us, CM´s to do our job properly.
Bug hunting is a complicated process.
We understand that player satisfaction is closely tied to the number and severity of bugs they experience while playing.
To help us resolve most of these critical problems, we need feedback from players in a proper way.
Forum threads are good to let us know about your opinion, but for any bugs, we need you to raise a support ticket at the affected game world and provide details of the bugs.
This way we can start the process of recording the existence of a bug and finding its cause.
Please, if you experience bugs, even though they might be already reported, raise a ticket.
Thank you for your feedback.
As explained in Your Video Limit Concerns: Rail Nation Team Response thread, there are several reasons why there is a limit introduced on the videos.
As we explained, we are open to suggestions and therefore, we will include the question about the limit into our March Global Survey.
We will be more than happy to read your feedback in our survey so we can take it into account to make decisions.
We wanted to provide a tool that is more up-to-date and allows us to talk to the community directly.
Discord is one of the most used communication channels in today's gaming industry, allowing us to create more and more interactive content for you, our players, but also to get faster feedback on possible technical problems and allow the communities to discuss all kinds of topics in one place.
We have reports from more people. To help us localize the issues, we need each of the players experiencing issues to raise a support ticket.
Our support and tech team will be able to investigate the cause afterward.
