As always about an hour or two after EG starts on COM203 its not possible to log in.....
I already heard a lot of this problem from multiple channels and I will take all of this feedback and include it in my next report to make sure the team is aware of this problem.
This post was not so much about the problems with the Warehouse/Harbours as that is reported before like you said, and I count on you when you say you will mention it.
However this suggestion was more about making the Landmark more worthwhile. SoE is the only map that has Landmark, hence in my opinion it should be worth more for the effort of hauling there.
I wish they would get rid of prestige in Warehouses and Harbours in the Steam over Europe version of the game, it doesn't belong here.
I agree with Yansi that staying in the Warehouses is not playing Rail Nation. It doesn't help your region or team to grow, just your own self-seeking goals and wallet.

Although the Warehouse/Harbour can be used during EG, and if then has a higher level it helps with WT. But in general you should use industries during EG or levelling of a city.
However what makes it so insane like I said, is that late in the game when lets say 40 goods are unlocked you can get PP from all 40 goods each time the Warehouse/Harbour levels, instead of just 4 goods from a city. So I still stick with my suggestion, that you can only get PP from 4 goods each time the Warehouse/Harbour levels. Then you would get rid of PP hunters, cause it would not be enough value to them
Do you prefer players farming prestige in warehouses instead of aiming the scenario objective? Because this is what already happens. Warehouses gives too much prestige comparated to cities, and now there will be a worker for that. Sorry but staying in the warehouses for prestige is not playing RN imo, this was a huge mistake TG did.
I totally agree. The game should give more options to get PP from cities and Landmarks in my opinion. To get etra from integration I think is good to boost players hauling integrated and not only direct, but to boost Warehouses/Harbours is not good.
My earlier suggestion, was that each time Warehouse/Harbour levels, it should only give you PP from your top 4 goods, and not all 20,30 or 40 goods unlocked at a time.
The game in SoE really needs an upgrade to PP rewarded for delivering to Landmarks. The game has a good worker for boosting PP to cities. Also it was discovered maybe a year ago or so that on 2x speed servers that the game needed double output for city deliveries each night (as the game only has 6 weeks opposed to 12 weeks on 1x speed)
More recently the game has changed to give much more PP for Warehouses/Harbours, so much that some players win almost entirely based on these deliveries. Now the game will even boost with a 50% worker for Warehouses, making those deliveries even more attractive
There will also be a worker for boosting PP for competitions, much needed to make competitions more interesting
You also have a great boost for delivering to industries that needs integration, and even this can now soon be boosted with a worker
BUT all the while the PP for delivering to Landmarks "stood still", if this continues no one will want to deliver to Landmarks in the future, as its not rewarding enough
When you say the forum will be read only. Will you continue to update post from your side, or only keep what is there on the actual date?
Like one of my favourite posts is "Serverfahrplan" in German section, will this be updated in the forum or only on Discord?
And more specific now, there is only an update until 20th of November. Any news on when COM203 Tower Bridge will restart?
The Legends update seems really nice, and is something that gives meaning to the game. Changing/assign content means tactics can/must change and in general I applaud this a lot.
Adding a acceleration worker is something I asked for since long time ago whenever asked about adding new content in general or workers in specific. THANKS A LOT. I know I have posted a lot negative lately, so credit deserved where credit belongs. These workers will add to tactical possibility a lot
However especially for SoE adding a worker that gives you more PP for hauling to Warehouses when there is already talk about Warehouses giving too much PP with current rules. Do you want players to neglect cities/LMs at all?
Finally worker for extra competition. I think if you are in a small team its a giant worker, but in a big team not all players can gain a lot from competitions. Basically I would love the worker, as I love competitions, but I fear this worker will be used by those who emply the tactic of jumping from one small associationto another every day to hint for the best and cheap workers
I see the activity here and it is very nice to see it and some names I haven't seen in a while. The problem is, this activity is natural but where was it in the previous months?
It was declining more and more.
I am honest here, the plan was to go for a discord and forum combination so we can cather to both types of players. But we also kept in mind that if discord proves to be more popular than the forum we will take action. That time has now come.
We didn't axe anything of, we didn't influence it, we gave both platforms the same and proper care and looked at the results.
I saw this conversation and this is exactly what threads are for. They are already implemented in Discord and we see the need for them more and more.
I see you repeat this over and over Maselbart and I wish it was the truth. I do agree that since I joined the game in 2018 player interaction in Forum has declined.
But you in person have to me/other players in recent months apologized that information given on Discord was not given on the forum as well. There was also a time when RN/Travian hardly responded at least on the English section on the forum. Now you are giving it a "final go" to show you are responding to the players, but that only after you took the decision to bring the forum down.
I just wish we now had responses to topics about improving/changing the game, instead of improving/changing the communication between the game and its players. Its a sad story really....
We can't go back to the way it was before, since limitless videos end in a lot of videos being watched by a comparable small number of people, which causes advertisement partners to not extend their contracts. On the long run this would cause a lot of problems.
On the server I play, there hasn't been an advertisement partner since the outbreak of Covid. So whats the deal really? Is it damaging to RN/Travian that we watch Travian videos?
To have some restriction however, I could agree, but what about the following proposions:
- On 2x speed servers up the limit to 168 videos a day, to allow the "same total amount" as on 1x speed servers? Why restrict 2x speed servers to lower amounts during a total game as 1x players? It doesnt make sence to me?
- Maybe test out on some servers, that videos are limited to an era instead of a day. The same amount as today (or the suggestion above) but let people choose which day to watch them. As topic starter mentioned. Some days you might not have time to watch at all (or just rush to get Pollux upgrades) where as other days in a week you have more time to watch them.
just a suggestion though, and will be interesting if there will be an answer here in Forum at all, since I am not gonna suggest it in Discord
1. and 2. Moderation might be low but no matter how low as long as the forum is there moderation is needed, not only from volunteers but from company officials to prevent abuse of the platform.
3. Discord also has a search function, yet we do not only rely on discord but on other platforms to store static information like the wiki.
4. We already have a thread feature and there are ways to structure and organize them similar to a forum here on discord. This is something I already thought about a log.
As I already said on discord:
Discord will be restructured so this is not the final state of what we'll eventually do. Threads and an index can bring additional structure and split the discussions so you can easily find the ones you are interested in, we won't simply rely on one single chat like now. The knowledge we have gathered in the forum is already being transferred to the wiki, besides that we can use the blog to further showcase static information.
Also I don't see our honesty about the fact that the outcome and reach of the forum simply isn't enough to justify the time and ressources that have to be spent to maintain it as an insult.
What I see as frankly unfair is the fact that you expect us to work overtime and extra, to satisfy your wish for a forum that sadly is declining instead of using this time to work for the overall community.
The forum declined because you many times refused to participate in here. You deliberately held back information only given on Discord, and too many questions by players on Forum was never answered. So maybe people gave up

I like new ideas and thoughts, but I dont really see this as either doable or beneficial to the game to be honest iMarius
#1 this would in reality mean that big assos would claim "majority" everywhere. I personally like to play in big a big asso as well, but I think for the greater of the game we should respect those playing in smaller assos also
#2 Again than to get more PP , it would almost be impossible to get a good ranking when not in a big asso

#4 This is perhaps the idea that I like the most. That would prevent assos from jumping to other cities near/during the EG, but again it only favours the big ones. But an idea to make this maybe a point I would like, would be something like this:
The asso with most hauling power at each daily reset gets 3 points, second best gets 2 points and third best gets 1 point. Then the 3 best gets some bonus during EG in that city, with the best gets most bonus. But no bonus for "friendly assos" in my opinion.
#5 Well this idea would fix the crash load when everyone wants to invest during EG, but I am not sure if its the right way to go. I wish there was a mechanism to prevent those who only play to destry, but I have no good idea for it yet

RN is a competetive game, but the competetive part is not designed to simply sell stuff. It is designed because we developed this game with a competetive playstyle in mind.
I definately think so. And I also see those who feel that the Warehouse/Harbours should give some PP. But what creates the disorder here is the following:
Anytime you level a city (Except from level 1 to level 2) you get PP from the outgoing RG, plus you get from all 4 RGs during the night.
This means in reality on a 2x server, that you get 4x42 PP rewards from "night update" + 1x? PP rewards from the number of times you levelled the city. Lets say in this instance you can bring the city up to level 41, then you get 40 of those PP rewards. In total for city levelling it will give you 208 PP rewards.
For the Landmark on SoE most cities follow the 1:1 "rule" on how to level it. Sometimes some cities divert from this rule, and still bring it successfully up to level 15, but mostly not. This means that the LM gives you 3 PP reward for level 1->2 , 4 PP rewards for level 2->3 and so on. Totally it rewards you then a 133 times (and you can add some more times if you let the city level a bit faster, but I think you get the idea)
However the Warehouse/Harbour, you usually don't level them much or anything at all early in the game. So you let them stay at a very low level in the beginning, because they are not needed. Then later in thegame, they give insanse rewards. I think I saw the level reach about 35 (or maybe even it was 40) but most of those levels where done after more than 20 goods where unlocked. Later both 30 and 40 goods where unlocked. So lets say the average amount of goods that was unlocked for each level was 25 (but I guess it was higher), then it means the Warehouse gave out 25*35 = 875 PP rewards. Now even if the highest PP reward is much greater for city and LM, all experience of RN so far is that diversity outranks just getting that one 1st place all the time. So when just looking at 1 city, 1 LM and 1 Warehouse it shows that the Warehouse is worth 4 times as much as a city and 6,5 times as much as a LM.
This is what I meant, it can't truly be the meaning of the game?
Restrict whenever a Warehouse levels, that you only get points for the 4 best RGs you delivered for each level up. Not that you can get 20,30 or even 40 PP rewards for each level up.
There has been a discussion on the Rn Discord (in suggestion channel) about it with the Game Designer Bruno_Bf, he's aware of this too much amount of prestige these warehouses bring and plan to nerf the value. A player has proposed that the prestige given can be maintained if this is not more than the half of the amount a city can give. But still no idea when this will be changed.

Once again we was also promised that important stuff like this was not only to be informed about in Discord, but also here in the forum. English section of Forum seems to have died completely. Although that is a totally other dscussion.
But I agree to the proposition, that it should be impossible/or at least extremely hard to get more than 50% PP from Harbour/Warehouse than what you get from City/LM.
So usually when there are new rules to the game, of course I have an opinion but I mostly agree to the rules are the rules. You just have to play by them in the best manner you can.
However the changes to gives PP for delivering to the Warehouse/Harbours on SoE maps, I think its really out of hand. (And there is no point for picking up from it, which is kind of the idea one would think.)
Harbours /Warehouses are a good addition to the map, and I can understand that those who level it should get some compensation from it. But I want to explain this by using examples of the current number 1 on the server I play. (We are in Day4/5 of Era 6, so soon just 3 days to go + EG)
PP in total: 722000
PP in Transports total: 512000
PP from Warehouse/Harbours: 259000
So more than 50% of Transport PP comes from just hauling to different Warehouses/Harbours. More than 33% of total PP comes from Warehouse/harbours.
So RailNation was this your intention by bringing in PP for hauling to Warehouses/Harbours? Cause if so, like I started we just have to adapt to the rules, and then the map will be all about hauling to different Warehouses/Harbours in the future.
I think this was a bug. It didn't use to be like this. A tie for President/Mayor vote usually would keep the old President/Mayor. So it can not have been someone voting in the last minute, and then withdrawing their vote shortly after?
All the new wagons seems to be allowed from Era 4, and the speed also
I am very sorry for the delayed information. We had a communication problem about this update, that's why it was announced on different times. We really apologize for that.
Regarding the CE we are currently talking about adding additional schievements to give players a way to earn more points and get these achievements.
Also once during you gametime you can contact support and ask them to reset you carreer engine if you want to switch your updgrades.

New achievements would be really cool though....
First when you launched Discord server, you promised that you would be equally informative here in the forum as on Discord. But this information I could only find in Discord so far.
The Career Engine now has a possibility for 30 wagons and 50 km/h faster speed than before.
While I see this opportunity as mostly positive, changing such makes those who have spent their CE Points already might regret not choosing a different strategy for their CE....
